Hand on heart: is it always the same person who makes breakfast in your family? So surprise your nearest and dearest for once at the weekend with a nice, leisurely Sunday brunch! Who doesn't like to sit at a beautifully laid breakfast table being spoiled by someone they love? Whether it's a birthday or simply to say "thanks" – fun and pleasure are guaranteed!
Breakfast is the perfect opportunity to chat at leisure about what's been happening over the past week. It's a time to celebrate good news and lay plans for the weekend. Finally there's enough time for a proper conversation!
Who hasn't had this? Your eyes were simply too big for your belly. There’s a piece of plait, brioche, or toasting bread left over. It’s easy to magic up a real breakfast treat from these leftover bits and pieces – for example with:
Breakfast Treat with Ölz Milk Rolls, Strawberries and Ricotta Gnocchi
Preparation time 12 min.
Cut Ölz Milk Rolls Slices into 1 cm thick slices and bake in the oven at 175 °C until crisp. Heat the butter until foamy, add the honey and caramelise. Add the strawberries and glaze slightly, drizzle with a squeeze of lemon juice, add the crispy milk roll slices and toss together in the pan. Serve in the pan. Form the ricotta into little gnocchi and sprinkle over the mixture. Garnish with mint leaves.
We've all got our own personal habits, preferences and favourite dishes in the mornings. You’ll put a beaming smile on the faces of your loved ones if you know what these are and can fulfill some of their breakfast wishes. Whether it's the Ölz Plait with or without raisins – this is where opinions differ. One thing we are sure of: the master bakers at Ölz have just the right thing for every taste.
Everyday life contains plenty of challenges. There’s often little time for spending a leisurely moment with the family. So thinking ahead to sharing a breakfast with your nearest and dearest at the weekend is a well-deserved moment of peace and calm. And at the latest once everyone is sitting together at the breakfast table you'll feel your reserves being fully recharged.
Alongside family, friends are the most important things in life. Our tip: share a nice, leisurely breakfast with plenty of friends! This is one invitation that will definitely be accepted by everyone. To be extra original: send a virtual greeting via e-toast - invite your friends, prepare the breakfast, spend some time together!
A lovingly laid breakfast table is sure to please even the most reluctant of risers! And there are no limits to your creativity: the first harbingers of spring in a little vase, a colourful Easter basket, a bread basket filled with delicious smelling croissants and toast – not just a delightful breakfast but also a feast for the eyes! We are convinced: this will make the first meal of the day an extra-special moment to enjoy.
Breakfast tastes even better with some nice tunes in the background. Whether it's a classic CD or the radio – music improves the mood and makes breakfast all the more enjoyable! So it's really worthwhile putting together a playlist of your favourite tracks. Just selecting the songs will put you in a good mood and will have you looking forward to the breakfast you're about to enjoy. Try it!
We're happy to make time for the perfect breakfast. And of course we have the most time at the weekend or on holidays: sit back, switch off, enjoy. This is when mornings start a little later than they do during the working week. So we consciously take twice as much time – time for our loved ones and time to enjoy breakfast. Our tip: some breakfast recipes are ideally suited for preparing the evening before! That way breakfast the next morning can be prepared in the blink of an eye.
Ölz toasting breads are ideal for freezing – and can still be enjoyed immediately! Simply pop the frozen slice of bread into the toaster and toast until crunchy, as you normally would. This way you'll never run out of bread! Even if a few extra people drop in and sit down to breakfast.
The aroma of breakfast bewitches our senses: fresh coffee combined with the smell of a freshly warmed Ölz Croissant is simply heavenly – or perhaps you'd prefer some crunchy toast fresh out of the toaster? Try this:
