Dornbirn/Vienna (AT) – Education opens up opportunities and creates a future. That is why Ölz der Meisterbäcker supports the NextGenBuddies project launched by BILLA and Caritas, which offers new perspectives to children and young people from socially disadvantaged families.
From 28 August to 10 September 2025, Ölz der Meisterbäcker donated to the project for every Ölz Schulmaus sold at BILLA and BILLA PLUS.
Thanks to the tremendous support of customers, a total of €10,000 was donated to the initiative.
The symbolic cheque presentation took place on 3 November 2025 at a BILLA branch in Wiener Neudorf, attended by representatives from BILLA and Ölz der Meisterbäcker.
The initiative by Volunteering@WU, Caritas Vienna and BILLA brings together students and children from socially disadvantaged families.
Since 2010, around 200 students from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and the IFZ Salzburg have been involved as:
Every week, they accompany children and young people between the ages of 6 and 18, strengthening their knowledge, self-confidence and team spirit – and creating encounters that have a lasting effect.
BILLA on the initiative
"We at BILLA have supported NextGenBuddies from the very beginning, driven by our conviction that knowledge shapes the future and education creates opportunities for life. The impressive commitment of around 200 students shows how much can be achieved when young people pass on their knowledge. Their dedication fills us with great pride"’
